Lash lifts should last form 6-8 weeks depending on the growth cycle of your lashes and a good home care routine. Here are some tips for your next lash lift:
Have realistic expectations: A lash lift cannot give you lashes you don’t already have, (that’s what lash extensions are for!). However, a lash lift will lift your natural lashes for a noticeable before and after.
Wear glasses or bring a case for contact lenses so you can remove them before your appointment. Wearing contact lenses can be irritating to the eye as your technician begins the lifting procedure.
Remove all eye makeup before coming into the spa for a lash lift. Trace amounts of makeup can affect how the solution reacts on your lashes and may not lift as well.
Make sure you have oil-free skincare/makeup products at home! The oil in your products can weigh down lashes and cut the longevity, of your lash lift. This includes makeup remover, eye cream, moisturizers, eyeliners, and mascaras. Use oil-free products to extend the results of your lash lift!
Lash lifting is a safe procedure when done by a trained professional, although those with extremely short lashes, or those with sensitivities or allergies may wish to refrain. Your technician will do a consultation before your service to discuss any contradictions and your desired look.
