Today’s topic is Reflexology.
Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes (pressure applied) properly can help many health problems in a natural way, a type of preventative maintenance in the health field and should not be confused with massage. This ancient healing art has been traced back to ancient China. Archaeologists have found stone-carved reflexology charts of Buddha’s feet dating to around 40 B.C.
The systematic application of pressure to the reflexology points stimulates the body’s ability to rejuvenate and heal itself. Foot Reflexology treatments open the subtle electrical channels that become blocked due to emotional and physical imbalances. Several studies indicate that reflexology may reduce pain and psychological symptoms, such as stress and anxiety, and enhance relaxation and sleep. Given that reflexology is also low risk, it can be a reasonable option if you're seeking relaxation and stress relief.j
Many believe Reflexology can aid in:
Relieve rheumatoid arthritis pain
Alleviate migraine, headache and chronic sinusitis
Promote weight loss
Reduce premenstrual syndrome pain for women
Improve sleep quality
Lower high blood pressure
Beneficial against diabetes
Eliminate digestion disorder
Prevent cerebral vascular clot
Relax the body and mind
