Monday Me Time

Treat yourself this monday by purchasing products that use recycled packaging

Each year on November 15th, millions of people across the United States take part in America Recycles Day. The day raises awareness about recycling and the purchasing of recycled products.

Did you know that when you purchase Aveda and bareMinerals at Salon Patrick, you are participating in the purchase of recycled product packaging? Both companies no only reduce, reuse, and recycle but they base their whole company off being as eco-friendly as possible.

Aveda

OUR MISSION AT AVEDA IS TO CARE FOR THE WORLD WE LIVE IN,
FROM THE PRODUCTS WE MAKE TO THE WAYS IN WHICH
WE GIVE BACK TO SOCIETY. AT AVEDA, WE STRIVE TO SET
AN EXAMPLE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY,
NOT JUST IN THE WORLD OF BEAUTY, BUT AROUND THE WORLD. -HORST RECHELBACHER, FOUNDER”

Product manufacturing is powered by Aveda’s solar array and/or wind energy through renewable energy credits and carbon offsets. Striving to achieve a Silver Zero Waste to Landfill certification using the UL scheme by end of 2021 at our primary manufacturing facility. 285%+ of our skincare & hair styling PET bottles & jars contain 100% Post-Consumer Recycled plastic. Aveda was the first beauty company to use 100% post-consumer recycled PET packaging. Hair care is 90% naturally derived on average using the ISO standard. From plants, non-petroleum minerals or water.

bareMinerals

“At bareMinerals, our mission goes beyond makeup. We’re here to help people feel good about themselves and their impact in the world. That’s why we create clean, conscious beauty that’s good to your skin, good for the community and good to the planet.”

At bareMinerals, we’re committed to doing good for the planet. That’s why we recycle your empty beauty products at bareMinerals online. When items (like beauty products!) are made from a mix of plastics, metals and more, it can complicate recycling efforts. We launched the Give Back, Get Back program to divert packaging that can't be recycled in traditional programs from landfills — and have succeeded in recycling or repurposing tens of thousands of pounds of material waste since it launched.
